Volunteers Assist with Cattail Project
This week Save The River volunteers assisted in a cattail removal project in Chippewa Bay. The project was led by SUNY ESF’s Thousand Islands Biological Station.  The project is an effort to reclaim important wetland habitat for fish spawning, particularly northern pike, by removing a large cattail mat that is blocking fish movement into the marsh lands. ... read more
